Designing waste rock barriers by advanced numerical modelling
Simulation of an ultra-class haul truck crashing into a safety rock berms. The aim of the simulations were to find design principles for safety rock berms. The fully loaded CAT 797F truck weighs 630 ton. The Simulations are based on multibody dynamics and discrete elements using AGX Dynamics from Algoryx Simulation.
